I am 35 years young and back in the business of caring for my beloved friends after taking a happy hiatus from the field of human services :) You can see all my amazing pet friends on instagram @courtneyelizabethyoung -- with owner's permission, of course! -- under my "happy tails!" highlight reel! Worth a watch, I promise you! :) I own my own home in Paxton & for the most part fall in love with every animal I meet -- the only exception has been my boyfriend. Haha! Just kidding :) I have been battling triple negative breast cancer since 2019 that came back in 2020 despite a double mastectomy, & am beyond overjoyed to spend time as your best friend's stand-in best friend while you are out & about! <3 A little about me; I am a photographer & writer. I love to run, workout, travel, write, hike, and read, but working with animals — specifically dogs — is my passion.

Courtney was very attentive to our two Foxhounds. She came over to feed them, spent time with them outside playing, made sure they did their “business.” She sent us updates, pictures and video of them having a great time together. Courtney showed an unparalleled love of animals and passion for what she does. Courtney is a gem. She is prompt, professional and an excellent communicator. She listened carefully and dedicated her time to get to know our two VERY different older kitties so she could give each of them the TLC they were looking for. Courtney went above and beyond not only taking care of my two dogs, she checked in on the three cats and took it upon herself to clean their litter boxes! Thank you!!! She sends updates and pictures too! The girls were mad that I was gone, but she definitely helped to fill their void!

I make sure to follow directions RIGIDLY when it comes to drop-ins. I think it’s super important to make owners as at ease as possible, especially if the dog has special needs or must need medications administered. I do not question anyone’s instruction — I trust you know what is best for both you AND your best friend!

A typical day
I LOVE being active and staying active! If your dog is energetic like me, we’ll get along just fine! I love running, and if there are any dog toys your dog has I would love to play with them! I love walking in the woods away from people when I’m with the dogs, I think it brings them peace and gets them into their groove. One time I took a dog to the owner’s job in Boston to surprise him and we had quite a fun-filled day! He slept in the car the entire way back. I am up for anything and any adventure!
