Pet care experience
I have experience in dog boarding/daycare facilities, veterinary clinics as well as grooming salons. I frequently volunteer with shelters and have recently become the Senior Dog Caretaker at Northwest Dog Project. I am comfortable with dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, personalities and behavior. Some dogs require a bit more patience and understanding and I am always ready to problem solve and take queues from animal behavior and body-language. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life and I know how important they are to their family. My availability at the moment is very open as I am currently in between jobs. My passion for animals has been a huge part of who I am for as long as I can remember and the welfare, safety and happiness of animals is top priority as far as I am concerned. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

Introduction walk with Courtney and Gretchen today. I walked with them to show her the neighborhood. She was perfectly in tune with my German Shepherd, they walked very comfortably together.....and she was a charming walking companion for me on this intro walk.

I am open to all breeds, but it would be great to know their preferences and any behavioral quirks. All dogs are different and have different likes and dislikes just like humans. of course any disabilities or health issues would be great to know beforehand as well as any leash aggression or aggression towards other dogs.
A typical day
When I walk dogs, I like to let them decide the path (within reason of course). We can walk around a park or a nice hiking trail or even just around the neighborhood. We can practice tricks, like sit, and stay. Go for short sprints or take a leisurely stroll. I have a small carseat in my car for smaller dogs so they can enjoy the car ride as well.
