Pet Enthusiast, Walks & Drop Ins

Pet care experience

I can't imagine life without a pup by my side - growing up, my family always had dogs (mixed breed and shelties) and, in addition to helping with their care, I would walk and dog sit for other dogs in our neighborhood. I now have my own dog - a Samoyed - whom I bring on as many adventures and outings as I can. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and various personalities and am comfortable with puppies.

Courtney is a conscientious care giver. She provided us with detailed updates and several adorable photos. We were able to leave Murphy in her care with no worries.

Courtney was amazing, she was so attentive and detailed while caring for our three cats. She sent regular updates and pictures which really eased my anxiety during the time we were gone. She followed my overly detailed instructions done to the last detail and had amazing communication. We will definitely be using her in the future !

Courtney met all needs of our kittens and even coaxed out our shy cat. Took photos and left detailed information from each visit. Definitely will be booking her again!

Safety, trust & environment

Trusting your furry loved one with another person can be stressful, but I treat each pet as though the were my own - which, as my mother says (or perhaps criticizes?), is "a bit extra". I truly love spending time with and caring for pets. Each pet has its own needs so I require a meet & greet prior to first service to ensure that both parties are comfortable.

Information Courtney S. would like to know about your pet

* meet & greet required before first booking! * Things I would love to know about your pet: - routine (mealtimes, exercise, bathroom breaks) - energy level - reactivity level - any special needs/instructions (medications, allergies, eccentricities)

A typical day

Every dog's needs vary so I tailor each drop in or walk to fit that need - a walk may be around the neighborhood or nearby paths and a drop-in might include fetch from start to finish or just some quality time to pass the day. When I walk my own dog, we like to walk places that tend to be less trafficked and, if possible, include a place for pups to take a dip. Places that I frequent and enjoy include: Mary Cummings Park, Horn Pond, the Fells, and Harold Parker Park (current favorite).

I am a middle school teacher and am currently on summer break with lots of extra time/a flexible schedule. Due to the summer heat, my routine with my own pup includes early morning and late afternoon walks/play. I am happy to walk the dogs together or separately depending on compatibility!
