I have a 6 year old Golden Retriver named Spencer. Prior to getting a dog, I only ever had cats. I started nannying for a family and helped care for their Vizsla. I love being active and frequently take Spencer on off leash hikes, beach walks, and neighborhood walks down the bike path. Weekends work the best for me, as I work during the week, but I love being with my dog whenever or wherever possible, so trips in the car are a must. Snuggle time is also important (as well as a few treats here and there.) I have 2 cats at home as well, luckily they are pretty easy going and get along with other dogs just fine. Working with a high energy Vizsla, who is also highly trained, really made training Spencer a no brained. It’s important that a dog is well behaved and can do some type of basic obedience.
