My name is Courtney, I am currently working full-time as an Estate Planning paralegal but my passion is with animals. I work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5p.m. I am available before or after these times for check-ins and walking services. I joined Rover because animals bring me joy and I'm looking forward to gaining more experience with dogs, as I would like to be an animal trainer within the next few years. I volunteer with the Henry Vilas Zoo and I have many great memories from my experiences there. I have had cats ever since I can remember and I currently have two cats at home that keep me entertained. I fostered a couple of cats a few years ago, which means I had four cats in my apartment at the same time! I enjoyed helping the foster cats get healthier; one was underweight and the other was a senior cat and overweight, whichI had to administer medication to the senior cat. In addition to the cats, I have a handful of fish at home. I am an animal lover who is very detailed orientated, reliable and caring. I have experience with a special needs dog. He has kidney issues and anxiety, which I helped him feel at ease by staying calm and loving. I am comfortable with all dog breeds 50 lbs and under. I will consider bigger dogs based on temperament. I am not comfortable with aggressive dogs. I care about you and your dog's needs and I take safety very seriously, such as entering and exiting the home safely, ensuring the collar/harness is on securely, and never letting the dog out of sight when we are outside. I promise to give your fur baby the same care as you would.
