Vet Tech/Dog & Cat Enthusiast 😊

Pet care experience

🐶Hi!! My name's Courtney. I am 36 and a local experienced Veterinary Technician in the Bee Cave area. I first started pet sitting for Rover back in 2014 before it blew up and got super well-known. I quickly built up a large clientele of dedicated dog and cat owners and gained many regulars, thus creating wonderful relationships with families and the many dogs/cats I've had the honor to care for time and time again. It doesn't take more than a single visit and interaction with your pet for me to consider them my own!! I am the type of animal lover who will bring your dog to spend Thanksgiving dinner with me and my OWN family (I've done this once or twice!) I am a Mommy to a silly Boston terrier named Theo (5) and a sweet yet sassy Tabby named Basia (6). They're my life!!🐱 🏩Considering I do currently work full time in a small animal hospital practice, I possess that extra boost in professional experience. I am comfortable administering medications as well as providing SQ fluids and injections in both dogs and cats. Many of the pets I have looked after here on rover suffer from disorders like seizures/diabetes/etc. I will accept special cases in which your pet(s) may need to follow a strict medical or feeding schedule under close observation. I understand each pet is unique and has very specific needs that must be addressed and followed as accurately as possible, so as to not disrupt their normal schedule or cause them any distress of a new human coming into their environment.🏩 📕I encourage my clients to leave any and all helpful information while you're away from your pet. That way I can make the experience for them as homey and as smooth as possible.📕 📸Also, tons of pics and vids of your babies are ALWAYS available upon request. :) Being an anxious pet owner myself, I understand how badly you need to feel reassured that your babes are doing just fine, this way it makes your time away from them that much more stress-free.📸 💛Rest assured that your pets(s) are healthy, happy and SAFE while in my care. I truly go above and beyond!💛 🩷I hope to hear back so I can be the sitter of your dreams!🩷

Courtney is really the dog sitter of my dreams. My babies loved her and I could tell she really liked them too. She would send pictures daily of her visits and was very attentive and loving with my pups. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter.

This precious sitter had our dog feeling like she’d been issued an upgrade, not abandoned during Soring Break! 10/10 Stars for sending photos, giving meds, lots of walks, and excellent service. Thank you to Courtney!

Courtney was fantastic, took great care of my pets and my home, and sent photos which conveyed that my dog was happy and relaxed. I would recommend her and hope she can stay with them again!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety ALWAYS comes first. I am diligent about making sure all my clients feel safe while their pet is in my care, whether they stay with me or in your own home. I treat every home I sit in with respect. The home environment I offer is very secure, but I always believe it's best for a dog to stay in their own environment so that they stay relaxed and feel the most at home.

Information Courtney P. would like to know about your pet

I encourage any potential client to schedule a meet and greet with me. This not only gives us a chance to meet face to face, but allows me to assess any potential issues that might keep me from being the ideal fit for your pet. Aside from any severe case of aggression, I am open to all breeds, sizes, or special needs your pet may be dealing with! All can be discussed during our short meet and greet and I can't wait to meet you!

A typical day

I am the type of person who thrives off an animals presence. Because of this, I try to involve my dog, and the dogs that I sit, into my leisurely activities. My style of dog sitting is one that is packed with attention and love. My apartment complex has an off leash dog park, so one of the activities I love to do with my furry friends is to take them there to throw the ball and to release some pent up energy. But I will NEVER assume YOUR dog is off-leash trained unless I am told by YOU that they most certainly are. I also love taking my dogs on long walks. Another one of my favorite things to do is to take the doggies to Petsmart for a treat or new toy! I can't guarantee that I won't buy your dog a new toy while they're with me. I spoil my dogs to the max! Before I even sit, I like to sit down with the owner and get a good idea of how they would like me to act with their dog, what their dog enjoys doing (i.e walking, playing with toys, being cuddled and loved on, etc) and their temperament (do they like their space or do they love attention) I want the dog(s) I'm watching to be as comfortable with me as possible, as if I was just an extra buddy to have around and play with! I understand no one compares to mommy or daddy, but I still would like to make my experience as your pet sitter and your dog(s) temporary caregiver as calming and as fun as possible.
