Downtown Doggy Daycare

Pet care experience

I absolutely adore dogs! Dogs have consistently been in my life ever since I was a small child, which has gifted me with a great deal of compassion and understanding for dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. Aside from owning a dog of my own- who I have rehabilitated from fearing all people to being well balanced and social with strangers- I have a great deal of experience through dog sitting and walking jobs, groomer training, providing dog training, foster care, and volunteering at shelters. Service is customized based on request and behavior. Any necessary discipline is administered in whatever fashion the dog is used to receiving from their owner unless advised otherwise. Generally, dogs have free range of the town house unless recommended/requested otherwise. Behavior such as excessive aggression, incontinence, or marking territory may result in having periods of restricted movement within the home as appropriate. For animals with aggression problems, muzzles are required for walks and socialization training is available. Lots of love, patience, and understanding is here for them! It is important that owners bring their own treats and dog food to support their dog's dietary habits.

Courtney was very enthusiastic about taking care ignore Aditi. She worked with my puppy on some of the training that I do with her at home. I felt assured that Aditi was not ignored during the day.

When I dropped off my pup for the weekend I asked for pictures and some updates. I received zero pics and only received an updated when I texted her first. I texted Courtney on Sunday morning to let her know I would be coming soon to pick up my dog. When I got to the house (around noon), I knocked several times and no one answered. I sat in my car and waited for several minutes. I tried to call Courtney but there was no answer. I went back up to the house to knock more and a man on the street said that she had been up all night partying and probably is passed out so she couldn't hear me knocking ( I have no way to verify if this is true). I continued to knock louder and yelled to get her attention. Eventually, a man opened the door and I was able to get my dog. Courtney came and gave me some excuse, but I was so mad that I stormed off with my dog. When I got back to my house my dog instantly relieved herself (#1 & 2), which makes me assume that she hadn't been let out all morning. After that (around noon-ish), my dog passed out and didn't wake up till the next morning. My dog is a jack russell and has a lot of energy, its not like her to sleep for that many hours straight so I truly believe that she was kept awake all night. On top of that, the leash I sent with her had been ripped apart. My dogs are treated like my children and I was quite disappointed in the stay. If I wanted my dog to stay up late and not use the restroom, then I would have just brought the dog with me. I will not be leaving my dog with Courtney again.

Courtney was great. She adjusted for my drop off and pick up, she gave dog medicine and sent picture updates of the stay!

I felt so comfortable leaving cooper with Courtney. She was wonderful about providing updates and pictures so I would know how he was doing. She's knowledgeable about dogs and provides excellent care.
