Your Best Friend’s New Best Friend

Pet care experience

We are a husband and wife team here for all your pet sitting needs. When you hire us, you’re essentially getting two sitters for the price of one! Courtney is available for walks in the evenings and would love to check on your pets for a little play time! If you’re going out of town for the weekend and need a place for your dog to stay, consider us as their “home away from home!” We have two dogs, Luna and Zoe, who LOVE making new doggie friends! Luna is a 2-year old lab mix who has never met a dog she hasn’t become best friends with! Zoe is a 4-month old hound mix puppy who is learning that dog friends are the best kind of friends! They’re both energetic, fun dogs that love playing fetch and chasing each other around! They’d love to play with your pup, too! We live in a quiet neighborhood with many neighbors who have dogs to interact with. Our large, flat backyard is newly fenced in and the perfect place for a game of fetch or “tag”. We have toys to play with and lots of space to run around. Our house has hardwood floors so accidents can easily be cleaned up and there are lots of dog beds to lounge on for a long nap. Because dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture or beds, we have raised dog beds for them to sleep on so they can still be comfortable throughout the days and nights. Our favorite activities to do with our dogs is playing in the backyard, taking long walks through our large neighborhood, and making a short drive to walk on the new paved paths on the Linc or visit the dog park. We have some neighborhood dogs that love to come over to play and interact with our dogs on a regular basis to make sure that their socialization skills stay fresh. We also have a kiddie pool and sprinkler in case it gets too hot and they need to take a quick dip to cool off. We also love making a blanket bed on the floor of our living room for cuddles and naptime. While we’re both comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds, Courtney acknowledges that she isn’t physically strong enough to restrain a very large dog in an emergency situation. Because of this, we cannot accept dogs greater than 100 pounds. We also request that you let us know if your pet has ever shown any aggression or fear towards another animal. While it is not an automatic dealbreaker for us, we must ensure that our dogs will be safe before we bring another dog into our home. We have a lot of experience watching pets for our family, friends, and neighbors. We’ve both had animals our entire lives and grew up learning how to take care of them. We hope that you will trust us to take care of your pets and allow us to share a piece of our lives with them!

We have used Courtney to dog sit our chocolate lab quite a few times. Our dog loves going to her house and playing with her dogs. When we drop our dog off, he just runs to the gate of her fenced in back yard and can't wait to have playtime with her two dogs. Courtney keeps ups informed on how our dog is doing while we are away and often sends us pictures of our dog. If you are looking for a loving and dedicated caregiver for you pet, Courtney is just what you are looking for.

I met Courtney because my dog met her dog on a walk, and they quickly became good friends. Fortunately, Courtney and I also became good friends, so our dogs get to visit each other quite often. Courtney is crazy about dogs, and the two that she has are spoiled little boogers, but also very well socialized and very playful! Over the past year, Courtney has repeatedly cared for our dog while we were out of town, going above and beyond what we asked her to do to make sure that Baloo felt cared for and loved, even while his family was away. We are definitely so grateful to have such sweet dog people right down the road to care for our fur-baby, and we know that she'll take just as great of care of your fur-baby, too!

Courtney is a true dog lover. She's had dogs all her life and loves spending time with them. She's great at taking care of her two dogs and always makes sure they're getting enough exercise and playtime. She is a homebody so it's not often that her dogs have to go more than a few hours without someone being home with them. She's very reliable and responsible and her dogs' safety is always her first priority. I highly recommend her to be your dog's sitter!

Information Courtney L. would like to know about your pet

We would like for you to let us know if your pet has ever shown any aggression or fear towards another animal. While it is not an automatic dealbreaker for us, we must ensure that our dogs will be safe before we bring another dog into our home. We would also like to know if they have any behavioral tendencies (barking, growling, jumping, pulling on leash, etc.) We also want to know how to make your dog happy and how to correct any bad behaviors. What is their favorite type of positive reinforcement? What do you do for punishments or negative reinforcements? Does he/she have any favorite treats we can give? We’re willing to continue any training that you're working on with your dog. Are there any skills that you'd like us to reinforce? Does your dog know any fun tricks we can practice? When you have to leave your dog alone at home, what do you typically do with him/her? In the event that we have to leave for a few hours, we have two large crates available as well as a baby gate that we can use to corral them into a certain room but we’d like to do whatever your dog is used to!

A typical day

We love playing in our fenced in backyard with our dogs. Their favorite games are fetch, tug, and “tag.” We also like taking fun walks through our neighborhood or going to the Linc to walk on the new paved paths. Sometimes we will even drive to the Peachtree City dog park for some extra fun playtime! We also have some neighborhood dogs that love to come over to play. If it gets too hot outside, we fill up the kiddie pool and turn on the sprinkler for a backyard waterpark. If we need a nap after playing outside, we can make a bed of blankets on the floor of our living room for some cuddles.
