CPDT certified dog trainer

Pet care experience

I love animals. I am a professional freelancing with companies in the area and I have done pet-sitting for 15 years. I am CPDT-KA certified, Fear Free Certified, APDT affiliated, force free experienced dog trainer with additional insurance beyond what's offered. I have loads of references, plus, an agility course and dedicated separate dog rooms with separated exit/entrance for your dog that needs privacy. I have sharable cameras in dog room and can share a link for your comfort and added peace of mind. I only accept crate trained dogs for everyone's safety. Your dog will be crated when unsupervised and usually overnight with a few exceptions. I currently work with a local dog training company and have trained in Pet Tech First Aid. I always have had a profound love of animals through my entire life. I love watching my friend's and family's pets and I've been lucky enough to turn that love into a passion by working in rescue and rehabilitation. I have a fenced backyard, and live in Atlanta where there are lots of places to walk. I currently do own 3 dogs that are very social and used to me doing board and train, which also means your pooch has a playmate but *only* If you would like more socialization! I have a layout perfect for seperation if your pup prefers alone time which includes a scent work station! Let me help keep your mind at ease while you're away. No stress of kennel cough or other problems, just a loving home but with security of a professional and cameras. I don't watch dogs from multiple homes without prior discussion. I use safety measures to ensure no dogs can escape crates and nobody is alone longer than 4 hours. I have years of experience doing in home care so your pet can maintain their routine and I will not put your pet at any risk like dog parks or multiple clients mixing so I can ensure they are safe. I am comfortable administering medication and regularly do so and have done subcutaneous fluids, I've been trained by a vet at the shelter and taking two courses in pet first aid. I have given Sub C. fluids to a cat on a consistent basis, and administered oral medications for both cats and dogs. My sole income is my business peacefulpetsatl dotcom I am home most of the time and if I am gone it's usually only for about 2 hours maybe three for a training lesson. I wake up to let the dogs out and have breakfast based on the owners schedule because my normal natural schedules a little bit late LOL! I have baby gates up at every door, your dogs have a private room and entrance with a fenced yard but are never left alone in yard. I have cameras I share with you during your baby's stay and am home most of the time.

Courtney did a great job! We unexpectedly ended up fostering right before we had to go away for the weekend. Courtney helped us to get our nervous foster dog loaded into her car, and they had a great weekend together. She helped us navigate this unexpected situation with her background as a trainer and her comfort level with dogs who have different needs. Thanks Courtney!

Courtney was amazing! Her communication was top-notch, she always updated us with pictures and gave us updates on what are little furry dudes has been up to that day. I highly recommend using Courtney for pet-sitting, we will definitely be utilizing her services going forward. This was a very pleasant and easy experience, and though we hate being away from our cats, knowing that they were in good hands meant the world to us!

Courtney was awesome! She took excellent care of my boys. The best result is coming home to two totally chill cats. Thank you for taking care of them!

Information Courtney L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any an all medications that are taken, any snack preferences, sleeping preferences i.e. on the floor, in their crate, in a bed brought or one I can provide and some personality traits, for example, is your dog a "bolter" having a tendency to run out upon doors being opened, is your dog nervous around other dogs and does your dog have have a tendency to try and get in trash which could make them sick? Does your dog have a bite history, do you want to add training services, what are you most worried about?! No information is too much. The more the better to best accommodate. I do not have any breed preferences, or age preferences.

A typical day

I have An agility course in yard, I also have scent/nose work stations. I do not tend to walk dogs in my neighborhood because there are not very many sidewalks so if you want to us to go on a hike or a walk you will have to be comfortable with me driving your dog and give me information about if they need to be crated etc. All dogs will be restrained in vehicles if not crated! Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Where ever your dog prefers, but only indoors. I do not allow dogs to sleep outdoors while at my home, however if you prefer it that way in your home, that's always okay! Your dog has their own room with a futon, a large dog bed, a queen bed and if you don't provide crate one will be provided. Time I'll spend with your dog I will spend lots of time with your dog! At least 3 hours in the morning, and then from the afternoon through overnight. Pet-care and dog training are my sole incomes.
