Furbabies make the world go 'round!
Pet care experience
Growing up in a household that fostered many Greyhound pups, and having had a few pound puppies myself... I've become a sucker for all things with fur. New to Portland I'm looking to meet new people, become more active and learn my way around. I have a terrier mix named Geo that is my best friend and partner in crime. I cannot imagine life without him. Geo loves everyone and everything, including stealing the covers at night. About this sitter: I cannot express enough my love for animals! I know, I know.... everyone says that. Though that is probably because it is near impossible to not love something that knows the true meaning of unconditional love. Cats, Dogs, I personally have both (plus a few fish!) I am flexible and ready to bring your critter home, stay somewhere else, or just grab your hound go to the park for a while. We own a home on the east side of Portland within walking distance of a few non-fenced in parks where we go almost daily to tire out out chocolate lab "Ronin." We are also within a few miles of many different fenced in dog parks where we can and will go to let all of the furbabies get out their wiggles and say hello to the other Portland pooches. Generally our terrier mix "Geo" tags along but would rather just sit and watch. In our home we also have an indoor/outdoor cat "Georden" who tolerates anything going on, and will just escape outside if he is feeling overwhelmed. Our home has been shared with ladies and gents, as well as young or old and small or large breeds and mutts. We would love to welcome your furry family members into our home! If there are special circumstances, financial restraints during emergencies, let us know and we may be open to working out something that can work for all. Why I love dog sitting We have been animal lovers our whole lives. Growing up in a household that has always had multiple animals. About my yard We have a backyard that is Fully fenced in, but is private from the roadways and is pretty flat, free of debris, and mostly grass (not full of flowers.) My experience administering medication We are comfortable with most medications/special dietary needs. Drops, ointments, and pills are easy enough. We do not have experience with, and are not completely comfortable with any injected medications.
Reviews
As always super accommodating, great with animals..perfect pet sitter!
Courtney was great! I felt much more comfortable
Courtney did a great job of caring for Hugo, who is a shy dog. When I picked him up, he came to me but also went back to see Courtney, before we left. I will not hesitate to have Courtney care for him again.
Courtney did a great job with the dogs! I got updates on them and they came home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend her and will be leaving the dogs with her again!

Information Courtney K. would like to know about your pet
First and foremost, we prefer no not watch unaltered animals. Dealing with an in heat lady or testosterone fueled male is not our favorite experience. For our own animals safety we would only like to watch your dogs if they are spayed or neutered. We like to know if any animals have territorial issues, eating habits that may be unusual, medications, special beds/toys. We also like to know what rules you enforce in your home (on furniture or not, etc) so that we can maintain the same expectations here that you do at home. We would also like to know if there is anything that you think that we should know. Generally we would like to keep any dogs that we watch under 100lbs because we have a smaller home. But exceptions can be made.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We have a few parks that we take our dogs to, some are non-fenced and some that are. We take the dogs to where ever their needs require. We also live in a house that is in a quiet neighborhood that we regularly walk our dogs through. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Depending on the dogs needs, they usually sleep in our room with us. We have had some dogs stay with us that are accustomed to sleeping in their crates, or in the living room with doors open so they have access to us if they need something in the night. Time I'll spend with your dog We spend most of our time outside of work with the dogs. Usually taking them for a walk if the weather is permitting.
