Your pet has a friend in me <3

Pet care experience

My entire life I have taken care of and cared for dogs, whether they were my own or others'. In my personal life, I've had a chocolate lab, a Shetland sheepdog, a beagle, a lab/terrier mix, goldens and Australian shepherds. I’ve also had two cats. Besides owning pets myself, I've had experience working with many different breeds. I worked at a daycare/boarding facility called Dogmode in which I would have 60+ dogs to a room with just myself and one other person. I dealt with all kinds of breeds, from Great Danes to Australian Shepherds, from French Bulldogs to Afghan Hounds. As a result of working at the boarding facility, not only do I know how to interact with different personalities of dogs in a pack-like environment, but I also learned basic first-aid skills in the event of an emergency. I also volunteered very frequently at a dog shelter (Lakeshore PAWS) and fostered many dogs from there. Overall, I have experience fostering (and training) 35+ puppies and 25+ adult dogs, one of which was a deaf pit bull. Other things I have experience with is dogs with medical issues: weak backs/hind legs, prone to seizures, Cushing disease, diabetic, among others. I am a remote employee so have my availability as open before 10am and after 6pm, but we can talk as well if there is another time you need and we can potentially make it work. Overall, I'm not afraid of slobber or kisses or hyper pups, love them all the same! I would love to meet your pups (or cats) and help you take care of them for when your life gets busy!

I care for the pets as if they are my own. I know how important it is to trust your pets are in safe hands, and I always strive to ensure you feel comfortable at all stages in the process of working with me.

Information Courtney J. would like to know about your pet

I would need to know a name of a dog/cat but otherwise I am pretty open! Also need to know if they are a biter, it isn’t a deal breaker but good to know beforehand.

A typical day

Typical day depends on the service! I always aim to meet the needs of the dog. If they are an ole crotchety grandpa of a dog, I’m happy to feed, pet and fluff a bed (haha!). If it’s a pup that needs puzzles, a nice long walk, or playing fetch in a yard, I’m always down.
