Pet care experience
My roommates and I would love to have a pet of our own, but our travel schedules make it just out of reach. When your dogs stay over at our home, they’ll enjoy tons of attention, plenty of runs and walks in the big grassy field and popular dog park steps away. You’ll get pictures and updates. I’ve lived with and cared for all types of breeds, including skittish types. I know what mayhem and joy pets can bring, and how important time outside, rain or shine, is for their health, happiness & sanity (and yours!). Our pets are members of our families and it’s my priority to keep them safe, comfortable and healthy. PS, I love cats too and will happily keep yours company!

It had only been a couple of months since we adopted our dog when we had to leave town suddenly, and we were terrified about leaving him with a stranger. We saw that Courtney lived in our area and were immediately reassured when she came over for a meet and greet—she was friendly and professional, and our dog took to her and her partner right away. We gave her an insane list of our dog’s likes/dislikes and routines, including medication, and she was attentive to every detail. She even helped us move his crate and supplies to over to their place. We got lots of texts and photos while we were away and our dog was clearly well cared for and loved—he was even a bit reluctant to leave! We feel like we really hit the jackpot with Courtney, and she’s the first person we’ll reach out to in the future.

Courtney was the perfect sitter for our pup while we were away for just over a week. We knew Beau was in great hands based on her thoughtful questions beforehand as well as the frequent updates and (adorable) photos we received during our trip. Courtney left our house extremely clean and even moved our car for us to avoid an unexpected tow due to street repairs. We are so thankful and relieved to know that our pup was left in great hands and would absolutely work with + recommend Courtney in the future.

Having a sense of your dog's familiarity with commands, other dogs and people (especially small children) will go a long way to ensuring that our time together is safe and low stress. I'd also appreciate knowing where they like to be petted and what their favorite treats are in case they aren't in the mood to pay attention!

I'm familiar with dog parks and walking routes in the Cambridge/ Somerville area, and am happy to accommodate specific requests for favorite places to take your pet.
