I have worked in animal behavior for several years. In college, I specifically studied anxiety and aggression behaviors, while also working as an animal trainer. I was recruited after college to help start up a new neuroscience lab in Houston because of my animal training expertise. I am well versed at using operant conditioning to teach animals complex behaviors, and I am able to combine that with the ability to read each animal’s body language to determine how to best assist and guide their training. I am very enthusiastic about all things dogs, especially rescues. All dogs, when given the love they desire and respect they deserve, are capable of spreading joy and happiness to everyone they encounter. I am the type of person to cross the street just to ask if I can pet a dog. Growing up, my family always had at least one dog, several of whom were special needs (including blindness, inability to control hind legs, and aggression because of previous abuse) so I am capable of working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and attention spans. With my background in behavior and passion for all things dogs, you can rest assured that your dog will be given all of the love and attention it needs!
