Hello, I’m Courtney! I am a new graduate physical therapist and have been using this app for a while throughout my undergraduate and graduate schooling. I enjoy staying active by going on frequent walks and visiting local parks - visits that are only made better by the addition of a furry friend! I live in a home in Willow Lawn with a large, fenced-in backyard that is great for a dog who loves to be outside. I have a crossover SUV and am happy to pick up/ drop off pets or take pets to parks that might be a little further than walking distance. If the owner is interested, I know of other furry friends who could be available for play dates occasionally. I’d love to take your sweet pup outside for some fresh air and exercise!

Courtney stayed overnight at my home with my 4 year old french bulldog last weekend. She was extremely polite and professional and sent updates with pictures throughout the stay. I trusted her completely in my home and with my pet. Great person and pet sitter!

Courtney has been our family's sitter for close to eight years now. She is a sweet girl who has lived on our street for as long as we've moved here and I can always count on her to do a last minute walk or visit when my family's schedule gets too hectic to get home to our dogs. She is very good about using her phone and replies very quickly usually. She is also receptive to feedback and will do anything we ask her to do as long as we show her how to do it first (meds, new harness, etc). She's a great young woman and I feel very comfortable leaving her with our two large dogs (golden retriever and husky mix).

I have no breed preferences, as I believe all dogs can be either friendly or aggressive regardless of breed. I would like to know a truthful history of prior aggressive tendencies of the dog, not so that I can rule them out necessarily, but just so I know what to expect and how to handle a dog when I am walking them. This includes aggression toward people (specific genders, people with hats, etc.), aggression toward other dogs, food aggression, toy aggression, etc.
A typical day
For dogs that like longer walks, I would be happy to take them around Maymont Park, the Capital Trail, up and down Monument, Byrd Park, etc. On especially beautiful days, I may also go on walks through Pocahontas Parks. I am happy to play with pups however they most enjoy, whether it be running, playing catch, tug-of-war, you name it!
