Empathetic Vet Professional

Pet care experience

Aside from growing up in a household of 10+ species, I've cared for dogs and cats professionally for 9 years. I've looked after and lived with pups & cats of all ages, including geriatric and those with special needs. I've also worked in veterinary care for 3 years, so I feel confident in my abilities to help your pet in an efficient, caring manner in the event of illness/emergency. My ultimate goal is to give your pet an enriching experience while being mindful of and catering to their autonomy and their unique personality. *Boarding Exclusively for Cats- Not Accepting New Clients at this Time for Boarding* As much as I love pups, I really have a knack with cats. It's understood that most cats are fairly self-sufficient and independent creatures, so it makes sense why they wouldn't need as much attention as dogs but a good amount of cats can feel lonesome when they're without their humans. This is why I offer boarding for cats only in my home- your kitties will have plenty of sunshine and room to romp around in (not to mention plenty of kitty-friendly plants). I also love caring for animals aside from the typical cat and dog. The exotics I've cared for include ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, kangaroo rats, chickens, snakes, and goats. If you don't see your exotic listed, please feel free to ask me about them! I'm a huge animal nerd and love learning about different species' behavior & care management.

Court did a wonderful job caring for our 4 cats while we were away. We all loved reading her reports and seeing the photos she sent. The cats clearly loved her and she spoiled them with (permitted) special treats like drinking from the running faucet. We will not hesitate to call on Court again whenever our kitties need the highest standard of care, because that is what Court provides!

Court has been great with our two very different dogs: one who is a rescue and very sensitive (especially with new people), and one who is a 1 yr. old yellow lab with lots of energy. Court is patient and mild mannered when needed with our special dog and we are so appreciative. She communicates well and can be counted on.

Court does a wonderful job caring for my cat. She has done this now twice, once in her home and once in my home. She sends regular updates on how your pet is doing and photographs. I would highly recommend Court for pet care.

Court has stayed at my home with several of my pets. She is responsible, professional and more importantly loving and concerned about my animals. I would recommend her as a very special person and caretaker for your pets.

I'm completely open to looking after your pets in their home- where they're most comfortable on their turf on their terms. Having their familiar face(s) absent, I strive to accommodate their comfort as much as possible. For any visits (housesits, drop-ins, walks) outside of my 15-mile service radius, I charge an additional $1/ mile. I accept these visits on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for understanding in advance.

Information Court S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet is on any medications (how much, how often, how do they best take it). Allergies are also important to note. I'd love for you to share what your pet enjoys doing the most while at home, as well as things like: -Are they up-to-date on vaccines? -How are they during walks- especially when encountering dogs, children, other people, and/or wildlife? -Are they prone to resource guarding- food, bed, toys, etc.? -Do they have any special behaviors/personality traits/quirks you feel I should know? If this will be your cat's first time boarding, that's also great for me to know. :)

A typical day

I like to stay consistent with whatever schedule your pet is typically used to with you (especially feeding and relief break schedules). I'm a big fan of long walks, so if your pup (or kitty) has a lot of energy to get out then I'm your girl. Overall, enrichment is key- keeping your pet mentally stimulated and enjoying themselves is of the utmost importance to me.
