Peace, Love and Belly Rubs!

Pet care experience

My husband and I both love animal and we decided to start this business to be able to spend more free time doing something we love. We have built very close bonds with all of our return clients and we are so happy to have been able to serve 12+ clients and families. We have had nothing but positive feedback and I truly think what sets us apart is our extensive training and experience with all temperaments and breeds from St. Bernard’s to Poodles. We have been trained in walking techniques, conflict resolution, aggression, and medication administration. We believe that with the right preparation your pets can be happy and healthy while you’re away, and we are committed to that. We have slept on the floor beside crates to make a pet feel at home and we would do it time and time again. They aren’t just pets, THEYRE FAMILY!

Another great stay with Cortney! She truly loves our pets and always takes excellent care of their needs, while being quick to communicate with us of anything going on. Highly recommend hiring her for all your pet or house sitting needs! We always ask Cortney first when booking vacations!

Cortney was absolutely the best pet sitter/dog sitter we’ve ever hired. She went above and beyond to make sure our pets were comfortable while we were away. She was understanding about our cats special needs and had no trouble giving our dog Hiccup his pill every day. Cortney was very communicative with us about how our pets were doing and provided daily updates. She and her fiancé Dustin both went out of their way to spend quality time with all our pets. They even watered our plants for us :) They left our house cleaner than we left it. I would highly recommend booking Cortney for any pet sitting needs!

I've known Cortney since 3rd grade, she absolutely loves animals. Some would say almost more than people sometimes ha. She would be great for walking your dogs. She will protect them with her life and give them all the love during their ventures.

Safety, trust & environment

I begin all of my interactions with an in-person meet and greet with the clients let to be sure they are most comfortable. I require my clients to leave a printed out schedule, important information and emergency contacts. I have never had to use this, but I find it to be important to be prepared for anything! We have with us at all time wherever we are (either in our home or in the clients home) a print out of the canine heimlich, canine CPR as well as animal poison control.

Information Cortney S. would like to know about your pet

I MUST know in advance if your pet has ANY history of aggression (including fear aggression and food aggression) It is SO important as a new person in your pets life that I respect their boundaries and build a trusting relationship with them so I must know these things for both their safety and mind. It is also helpful to know if you use any specific words for their training during meal time, etc. Pets generally thrive on routine and we will go over that during the consultation to be sure I can keep them happy and healthy!

A typical day

I prefer to check in with both the pet and my client and try to do whatever the pet is most comfortable with during my stay. Generally I will follow the pet parents routine to keep the pet as comfortable as possible, but I understand sometimes pets are more timid and would prefer to cuddle on the couch, while others may have additional built up energy and need extra long walks. I like to play each situation by ear and discuss everything with the pet parent to be sure both them and their pets are comfortable.

Availability

My husband and I have been able to accommodate most schedules. We currently both work full time, but are able to provide care for pets in the mornings, evenings and over nights and can also accommodate some mid-day breaks depending on location. Generally, when pet sitting, we strive to spend as much time as possible with the pets so they are as comfortable as possible while their family is away! We are willing to spend holidays with your pets as well and will be sure they have the best time!
