My former partner and I recently fostered two four month old puppies, Edgar & his brother (who wasn’t given a permanent name by us) for two weeks, and then just Edgar for an additional three weeks. I’m grateful that our time together broadened my experience caring for the special needs of young dogs. I have boarded my former partner’s six year old Xoloitzcuintle/pitbull mix, Tonantzin, for 10 days as my full responsibility, and I also assist with her care when needed. She is extremely intelligent, energetic, & dominant, and it has been a joy to practice managing such a strong personality. Between two separate occasions, I have provided a total of 10+ days drop-in care, twice daily, for a close friend’s adult hound dog, Boo. His heat sensitivity, strong scent-loving nose, and medication needs gave me unique experience during our time together. My entire life has included animal friends of some kind. I had pets of my own as a young person, and have had furry roommates in almost every living situation since, whom I gladly cared for when needed. Thank you for your interest in my profile!
