I have loved dogs since I was a baby. I grew up with a Border Collie-Springer Spaniel mix and two Springer Spaniel sisters. Having such active energetic dogs in my life allowed me the opportunity to help train them, both at home and when out playing. We got the sisters, Bella and Ellie, when they were both only 8 weeks old. Raising a dog from such a young age helped me to develop the patience needed for younger or less trained dogs. While basic obedience training was necessary, we still had time to teach them some tricks! This was fun for both the dogs, who were rewarded with treats and praise, and for me getting the satisfaction of a job well done. I’m perfectly happy relaxing and showing the dogs affection, but I have no problem running around and playing until the dogs are ready for a nap!
