Pet care experience
I have lovingly cared for my friends' cats and dogs since 2010, always in their home. I enjoy quality pet time, and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting a variety of fur babies thru Rover and client referrals. I have a calm nature which soothes anxious pets and enjoy earning their trust and affection. Currently, pet sitting is my only job so I have a lot of time available to give love and attention to your pet(s). I prefer to care for your pets in their home, where they are most comfortable. I am honest, reliable, and dependable; don't smoke, drink, or throw parties; and will treat your home with great care and respect. As for your pets, as long as you provide me with the details of their usual routine, I will try my best to keep them to that routine.

I will honor your guidelines for your pets in your home and do not currently accept pets for boarding in my home. As for home care, I am happy to take out trash, collect mail, and water plants as part of my pet care service. With your permission to use the washing machine & dryer, I will launder bed sheets and towels that I have used during my stay prior to my departure on the final day of sit.

I will do my best to accommodate any special needs your dog or cat may have - just share with me what those are. Communication is critical in any relationship, but especially when one is a pet that can't speak directly to his caretaker - I rely on pet parents to give me the information necessary to provide the best care possible to their pet : feeding times and method, poop schedule, walk schedule, toy and playtime preferences, bedtime routine, & usual demeanor. Also, any known behavior that signals that there may be a problem with the well being of your pet.
A typical day
I'm happy to take your dog for walks - I was accustomed to getting in at least 12000 steps per day when working at a guest ranch, so welcome a fun opportunity to get those steps in while caring for your pets. I do prefer to walk dogs in their home neighborhood vs taking them by car to a different location. If you have a yard and your dog has a favorite toy, I will gladly play with them to keep them entertained and exercised. Cats? - no problem, I love them too and am happy to entertain with their favorite "chaser" toy, or simply sit with them and provide strokes and scratches or a lap to lay in.

Availability
Being semi-retired, I have a flexible schedule to tend to the needs and wants of your pet(s). My daily routine includes waking between 6:00 and 7:30 am (unless pets need attention earlier), time outdoors, occasional sits with grandkids (in Las Vegas), and retiring for the night by 10 or 11 pm. As time allows, I enjoy exploring nearby trails and parks. I will treat your pets with love and respect, and have the schedule flexibility to maintain their established routines.
