Experienced and Loving Care!

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Connie! I have loved animals my whole life. As a young child I raised Araucana laying hens from chicks, rescued injured birds for release back into the wild, and volunteered for the Irvine Animal Shelter as a “foster parent” for kittens and puppies who were too young or ill to be adopted. I become a “puppy raiser” for Guide Dogs of America as a teenager and I currently work as a house sitter and dog walker for a variety of clients. I have over 16 years experience with dog training, large breed dogs, and taking canines out for runs.

Connie was wonderfully accommodating and my dog loves staying with Connie. Connie's photos of my dog being happy throughout the stay is very reassuring. I don't have to worry about my dog at all while I am away, which enriches the trips I take to see my son, wife and grandchildren.

Connie was willing to accomodate a holiday event for me, by having my dog overnight during the Christmas Holiday period. Connie could not provide better boarding for my dog, who loves her.

Information Connie would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pets have any food allergies, medical conditions, medications, or dietary restrictions. It is helpful to know if your pet is an "escape artist" who likes to explore so I can best keep him or her safe. I want to provide the highest level of care to your furry family member! Knowing the activities and play your pet most enjoys allows me to customize exercise, training and play so your pet has a fun experience! Also, if there are any behaviors or training commands that your dog is working on, I am happy to positively reinforce the desired behaviors! Excited to get to know you and your puppies or kitties!

A typical day

I love to explore local trails with pups by going out on adventure hikes and trail runs! My favorite puppy expression is the one right after vigorous play where your dog is smiling from ear to ear, tongue out, panting and brimming over with delight. I have almost as much fun playing fetch as the sweet pups I look after. Watching a dog sprint full out towards their frisbee is a beautiful thing! Bathing and grooming is a passion of mine. The result of having my furry best friends clean and freshly scented makes for lovely cuddle times! I have plenty of practice with doggie Teethbrusing and enjoy rewarding with treats so your pup will look forward to having their teeth brushed next time! I also enjoy sharing therapeutic touch through canine and feline massage. This is especially beneficial to older pets to maintain muscle tone and promote good circulation.

I love working with Labs, Retrievers, German Shepards, Malinois, and many other breeds. Dog training is a passion of mine and has been something that has been a part of my family life since my early years. For me, being a part of a young puppy's learning is infinitely rewarding. The moments of seeing the "lightbulb" go on in their eyes as they demonstrate understanding a new command, and watching how rapidly they improve bring me great joy.
