Flexible schedule - Love all dogs

Pet care experience

There’s just nothing better than getting to take care of great dogs! Dogs have been such a huge part of my life, so I’ve always wanted to do whatever I could to give back to them. As a dog sitter, I feel like it’s my best chance to make sure that all the great dogs in the world are as happy as can be! As a dog owner myself, I also know how difficult it can be to find quality care for your pup, so I’m here to make sure that they’re in good hands! I have been a dog sitter and walker for over a year now, so I have plenty of experience taking care of animals in a professional capacity. I’ve learned so much about providing excellent care for dogs during that time and can’t wait to learn more! Every dog is a learning opportunity to me, so I very much look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I love dogs of all sizes and breeds, so I don’t have any breed restrictions. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. One of the best things about me as a sitter is that my schedule is very flexible! I am a musician, which leaves me with plenty of wiggle room to work around your schedule. I’m a great fit for folks who have busy working schedules or unorthodox working times. I’m always happy to accommodate any schedule or any needs, so just ask!

I do not think 5 stars is enough for Colton - he is an awesome pet sitter and I cannot recommend him enough. I was in a pinch due to a family emergency and he was able to do a meet & greet 12 hours before I left and agreed to stay at my house with my 10mo Great Dane pup and my 6yo tripod monster. He was taking on a lot and fast! Both the dogs immediately liked him and for my older dog e sent me multiple updates every day and batches of photos. He was so attentive to the dogs and me, the helicopter dog-mom. He put them at ease and me at ease while I was away; which being the first time my Dane was separated from me than more of a couple hours is saying something. I’m so grateful to have found Colton in this time of need and look forward to future trips, where I’ll know that the dogs are well taken care of and enjoying their time with him.

Information Colton J. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

I like to maintain a very active life, so your pup will be right at home with me if they like to get out and about a lot. Nashville is an excellent place for dogs because there are always so many different green areas to take them! I always love exploring and getting to know my neighborhood, so new adventures will always be on the menu for us. Centennial dog park is one of my favorites to head to!
