Overview: - Three years as a Rover.com sitter - One year as a Wag on demand dog walker - One year experience working as a Veterinary Assistant - Three years experience training service dogs - One year of intense study of dog cognition and Bond-Based Choice Teaching - Grew up with a Labrador, Yorkie, and Rottie in home - Current pet momma to Menten & Shadow - Taking a health break from being a grad student pursuing a PhD in Chemistry - Of course, deep love and respect for animals Why I love pet-sitting: I do not take others trust in my caregiving lightly. I'm honored that so many have trusted me to care for their pets! I have a lifetime of experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and parrots, none of whom I would have just let anyone watch. I've been a go-to for my friends and family for a while now and I'm starting to realize that others might appreciate my services as well. Background: I am very experienced with dogs, but I’m also experienced with cats, birds, rabbits, and fish. I held a snake once, but I don’t really know how to care for them. Anyway, I grew up in a home with three dogs, two ferrets, and a bunny. As a teen, I also had a pet parrot (Sun Conure) named Papaya who was such an adorable handful. As a young adult, I took an vet assistant internship at a vet's office where I helped with the routine and medical care of dogs and cats. It was exciting to be around so many sweethearts, but veterinary care is just too emotional for me. It's amazing how a little one can wiggle it's way into your heart in no time! I have also launched a company based on very new research about canine cognition. It is called Gymnasio Argos and you’re welcome to check it out. Just type it in your address bar without a space and add .com to the end. The service is not for every household, but I am excited to bring this new care philosophy to Dallas. Please let me know if you would like me to add those services to my care for your pups. Point being, I’m more than capable of watching over your pets!

Colleen was great. She sent me pictures and a brief summary every night. She was great with my cats and was even able to draw my shy cat out of her hiding spot. I would highly recommend her.
Colleen did a superb job. She was amazing. Everyday she spent a good amount of time playing with our kitty and communicating with us. She made keen observations and relayed information to us. I truly could relax on my vacation and did not have to worry one second about Lola. Thank you thank you thank you, Colleen, for doing such a wonderful job. I can really tell you have a true passion for animals!
Colleen was very thoughtful and kept us up to date during our trip out of town. We felt completely comfortable that our dogs were in great hands. We would recommend her highly and hope to use her in the future.

A typical day
My complex has a nice area out by the pond with ducks that we frequent. If the dogs have a lot of energy, we take a walk up Waterview Pkwy, which is very scenic. I like to play games like tug, red-light green-light, and snuggle. My dogs like to retrieve toys by name. If your dog hangs around, they might pick it up. I also like to be conversational with the dogs I walk. I think it’s mutually beneficial. Of course, when it’s time to stop and sniff, we stop and sniff! Sniffing is so important!!!
