I grew up with dogs and cats as family. I worked as a veterinary technician assistant and I've been a private petsitter since I was 16 years old. I have extensive experience with elderly animals as well as animals with chronic and acute illnesses. I understand the importance of giving medication like insulin on time and I know what it's like to love and care for a pet with special needs. I currently live in Minneapolis with four benevolent feline overlords but I love going on walks and enjoying the local parks with my friends' dogs. I'm always ready for snuggles, walks, and tummy rubs, but most importantly, I'm prepared to make sure that your pet is safe and loved while you are away. Please let me know what your dog needs from my time with them and I'll make sure that their needs are met. Tell me about your dog's personality and their preferences so I can keep them as relaxed and happy as possible. For example, if they are afraid of thunderstorms, let me know so I can anticipate their anxiety. If they always snuggle with you at a certain time, tell me about that so I can help keep their routine stable.
A typical day
I'm familiar with the dog parks in Minneapolis and I also love just walking around neighborhoods. If your dog has a favorite spot, we'll go there! I'm always happy to throw a tennis ball or play with your dog's preferred toy. If your dog is more low-key, elderly, or experiencing limited mobility, that's ok too! I'll make sure that they get outside for potty breaks but we can take it easy. I work from home and due to my very flexible schedule, I'm able to plan visits for however long your dog needs company.
