Veterinarian to care for your pets!

Pet care experience

I am a veterinarian in need of pets to love as my own! I travel often and try to find other ways to have animals in my life, which is where your floofy friends come in! Dogs bring happiness to my life, and I would love to welcome yours to treat as my own while you are out of town. I will care for your pets to your preference - from fully spoiled to extra training. I am great with needy pets, have a soft spot for grey muzzles, and can give medications or perform any treatments. I'm a hospice-trained veterinarian and can make recommendations for quality of life improvements at any stage! I live in Texas, but have family in California and use any excuse to stay here. This does mean I prioritize long house sits. I work relief and usually pick up a few shifts a week, but will mostly be home for the pups. Pets are family! I look forward to caring for yours!

Information Colleen L. would like to know about your pet

*It is essential to be upfront about separation anxiety. If your pup gets self-destructive when left alone or with strangers, it is best for everyone to discuss all details and needs before having them stay. If I am appropriately prepared and informed, I can work with you and your pup to keep them comfortable and safe. If it is unexpected, I will ask you to return for them immediately if they are harming themselves. Separation anxiety has to be managed carefully and compassionately to reduce the emotional trauma your pup experiences. Please do not think you can spring it on a sitter, or wait till they find out. That isn't fair to your pup or the sitter!* (And yes, this has happened enough to write about!)

A typical day

Let me know what your pups are up for! I enjoy hikes and walks, but can be perfectly happy with a snuggle on the couch and sleeping in!
