So to start off, my dog Brody is not an easy dog to care for. He’s wildly smart and with that comes a whole new level of stubbornness, sass & anxiety that can be a lot to handle. He makes his mind up about people pretty quick & for the most part he doesn’t like them or it takes 90 days to earn his trust, I’ve had roommates he’s lived with for over 2years he refused to go on walks with. Full refusal, he will lay down and not use his legs until you leave him alone. That being said, I was nervous going out of town and leaving him with Colleen for a few days. While they had met before and he didn’t necessarily hate her like he does most people - I was anticipating a weekend long hunger strike and her dragging him on walks. After all, they did not get the 90 day trial period that Brody typically requires (I know, high maintenance). Well, for the first time in 9years of living with Brody I was wrong. Colleen must be a dog whisperer, not only did Brody eat every last bite of his food, but I even got videos of him playing with a golden retriever, which are typically his sworn enemy! If I still lived on the east coast, she would be my go to, I’ve never seen Brody so enthusiastic to see someone who typically in his mind has not even past the waiting period of friendship he puts on most people, he may even like her more than me. That being said, Colleen is a true dog whispering and your pup will be in safe hands and have a great time when she’s with them - not matter how stubborn and judgmental they typically are
