You know that person you see at parties and events who always seems to gravitate towards the household dog? I’m that person! As a life-long animal lover, I will care for your pet as if he/she were my own. I had my first dog when I was about 7 years old. He was a beautiful Gordon Setter and I have been a dog lover ever since. Later in my childhood, we had two extremely loving miniature schnauzers for 14 years, until it was their time to cross the rainbow bridge. I worked as an Assistant Dog Caretaker at a top-recognized boarding kennel for 3 years and loved every minute of it. I love all dogs, regardless of their breed. I truly believe that many breeds have an “unnecessary bad reputation” and I am an advocate for all breeds. When choosing who you would like to care for your pet, I’m sure you want a person who has a strong background in animal care and one who will love your pet as much as you do!

Colleen is the prototypical dog lover. Having previously worked at a Dog Kennel and growing up with dogs in her household, it takes her no time at all to gain a dog's trust and love. She would make an excellent dog sitter for all dogs, big to small.
For the years I’ve known her, Colleen has proven to be one of the most compassionate, loving, and situationally-aware individuals I’ve ever known. Her dogs are two of the most cheerful animals I’ve ever seen, undoubtedly a result of her consistent and caring nature. I have no breed preferences. As listed in my profile, I worked at a boarding kennel for 3 years and cared for almost every breed imaginable. They’re all wonderful! I would like to know how your pet is around strangers. If we have to have a couple “play sessions” beforehand, I am more than happy to do so!
A typical day
Wherever your dog is used to their walks, that’s where we will go! I believe that dogs are much more comfortable in a known environment. I want to be sure your dog is familiar and comfortable when we go on our walks!

I am part-time telework and have a flexible schedule on Monday, Friday, and every other Tuesday. I can provide services in the evenings on Wednesday and Thursday. Please reach out to discuss how I can meet your needs!
