Updated: My best friend passed away in July. Gosh I cannot explain the empty feeling. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma in late May. We tried chemo but well. I "acquired" Mojo because of Dogvacay! April 2013, a Dogvacay client couldn't care for her 6yr old Great Dane. He was ill with a liver disease and needed a toe amputated. He went everywhere with me: Florida (walks on the beach), Austin, TX to listen to music and San Francisco for a festival . He was a gentle giant and very passive. Cheesy but must have been meant to be. I didn't ever think I could have such a close connection with a canine even after my first dog. But Mojo..he was something amazing. Honestly he rescued me. He has my heart. Even though I was (am) devastated. I was able to get up every day knowing I was going to watch a dog. Otherwise the silence is deafening in my house. As heart wrenching as it is ..life moves on whether I want it to or not. So..I made a difficult decision to try and rescue again. And yes...I rescued another amazing Harlequin Great Dane! He is not Mojo..but has stolen my heart as well. Gosh how we get so connected to our furry best friends! I hope you can read my love and passion for dogs from my above post. Your dog is a part of your family. I was lucky enough to have my amazing Rottweiler, Zen for 11yrs. He was a loyal companion, friend, confident, listener, and best friend. Looks can be deceiving....he was just a love. He was amazing.. unforgettable. Some say..he was just a dog..but he was so much more than that...even when he would open the fridge and help himself to a snack:) Never thought I would own a dog again as he couldn't be replaced..
