Home Comforts, Tail Wags Too

Pet care experience

My pets are my family, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can truly trust to care for yours. Since 1992, I’ve been caring for animals with passion, patience, and love—not only my own but many others along the way. Today, I share my life with three wonderful cats and two loyal dogs, and I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve raised and loved them throughout my life, and after losing beloved dogs in a devastating home fire, my commitment to animal care only deepened. That heartbreaking experience reminded me how much animals rely on us—not just for food and shelter, but for protection, comfort, and love. It’s why I’m so dedicated to making sure every pet I care for feels safe, respected, and deeply cared for. I’ve supported fellow pet parents with everything from off-leash training, bathing, and dock diving to medication administration, senior care, and building trust with anxious or shy pets. Whether your furry family member needs playful exercise, calm companionship, or specialized attention, I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. When your pet is in my care, they’re not just being looked after—they’re being loved like one of my own.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m deeply committed to providing the highest level of care and safety for every pet in my home and yours. In My Home: • Secure Outdoor Time: I have a fully fenced yard where pets can safely enjoy the outdoors under my supervision. When letting my pets outside, they are always within the secure fencing, ensuring their safety. • Indoor Comfort: My pets have full access to every room in my home and are welcome on all the furniture, providing a cozy, relaxed environment. • Private Space When Needed: If your dog or cat feels uncomfortable around my pets, I have a separate, quiet room where they can feel safe and secure, allowing for a peaceful transition. In Your Home: • Consistency & Routine: I make sure your pet’s daily routine is maintained, including meals, walks, and playtime, so they feel at ease while you’re away. • Personalized Care: I cater to your pet’s individual needs, whether it’s providing extra comfort, following specific instructions, or ensuring their environment is stress-free. In both my home and yours, I strive to provide a loving, secure, and comfortable experience that makes your pet feel at home.

Information Cody H. would like to know about your pet

To ensure I provide the best care possible, I like to gather a few key details about your pet before our time together. This helps me understand their needs and preferences and ensures they feel comfortable and safe in my care. Here’s what I’d love to know: 1. Routine & Habits: • What is your pet’s daily routine (feeding schedule, walk times, nap preferences)? • Are there any specific rules or habits I should follow (e.g., no furniture, bedtime routines)? 2. Health & Special Needs: • Does your pet have any health concerns or medication requirements? • Are there any allergies or dietary restrictions I should be aware of? 3. Personality & Preferences: • Is your pet social or more independent? • Do they have any favorite toys, games, or activities? • Are there things they’re particularly sensitive to (loud noises, certain smells, other pets)? 4. Behavior: • Does your pet have any behavioral quirks or specific fears I should be mindful of? • How do they typically react to other animals or strangers? 5. Emergency Contacts: • Do you have a preferred vet or emergency contact in case something unexpected comes up? The more I know about your pet, the better I can ensure they’re not only well cared for but truly happy while in my care!

A typical day

Every day with your pet is filled with adventure, fun, and care. Here’s a glimpse into what a typical day might look like: Morning: I start the day by greeting your pet with love and attention. Whether it’s a quick cuddle or some playtime, I ensure they feel relaxed and ready for the day. After breakfast, we’ll head out for a walk or a hike—one of my favorite activities! Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood or a scenic hike in nature, we’ll enjoy the fresh air and explore new surroundings. Midday: After some outdoor fun, it’s time for a break and some relaxation. I’ll keep your pet entertained with a game of fetch or ball throwing in the yard, or perhaps some indoor play if they prefer a calmer activity. Cats get plenty of attention too—whether it’s interactive play with toys or just some quiet time to bask in the sun. Afternoon: We’ll continue our outdoor adventures, whether it’s another walk, more ball-throwing fun, or simply a peaceful time spent enjoying the fresh air. I love engaging with pets in active, fun ways, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, and if they enjoy a good game of stick toss, we’ll be outside having a blast. Evening: As the day winds down, we’ll enjoy some quieter moments. After a final walk or play session, I’ll make sure your pet has dinner and enjoys some downtime. Whether it’s snuggling up for a cozy evening or watching the sunset together, I ensure your pet feels content and loved. Throughout the day, I adjust activities based on your pet’s energy level and preferences—whether they’re all about running, hiking, and fetching, or just enjoying some calm, loving companionship.

These prices are for one cat. A booking fee of 11% and taxes will apply.

If your pet is staying with me, they’ll enjoy a calm, supervised environment where they’re never left alone for long.
