I have 7+ years' experience as a professional animal caretaker and trainer. I frequently pet sit, and love to take dogs on hikes, to dog parks, or on any other random adventures. I can administer medications and am comfortable with temperamental animals. I am fit and can handle high-energy dogs easily. I have a high awareness of allergies, medical conditions and breed-specific behaviors, and this can come in handy for dogs who require unique needs to be met. I used to train "unadoptable" dogs in Chicago - usually "aggressive" breeds such as pitbulls or rottweilers. I specifically trained pitbulls used formerly as bait dogs in fighting rings, and ensured that they were safe and ready to be adopted into comfortable homes after enduring traumatic experiences. I am very patient with dogs who have unique attitudes or behavioral quirks.
