Staycation promising an adventure!
Pet care experience
Hi! we have expanded our little empire to include ourselves and our sweet prince, and also the most amazing partner/oversight Ashley could've asked for- a veterinarian from Mexico who is now enjoying the land of enchantment with her girls, her husband, their horses and doggos! They've helped make our dreams of a place with yards and options grow! As of January 2020, we are excited to share the upcoming arrival of our princess, if you have rambunctious dogs exceeding 75lbs, please let us know as Ashley is unable to watch those slobber babies alone ;) we also have some cat restrictions. Please inquire! That said!! I am a kennel supervisor with 12 years of experience in boarding and kennel management. I am canine and feline CPR certified & have worked in multiple settings throughout my life including in home overnight care, depolyment fosters, rescue rehab/foster, state DOC canines and neonatal kittens and anything in between! I am capable and comfortable giving medications including insulin & wound care. I've trained three pups through the AKC Canine good citizen award while going through courses for my kennel tech classes with my hometown animal shelter. My partner has extensive background experience as a vet tech prior to her collegiate courses as a veterinarian & has 8+ years of experience in medical boarding and care, specializing in equine husbandry. Cody has gained his experience as a foster never knowing exactly what he was signing up for with each new case coming through the door. He is experienced in all varieties of behaviors and manners (or lack thereof) and has a unique talent of dad-voice meets comforting dog dude. Dogs love him, obey him, and love that beard of his 🥴 We recently moved from Utah to follow the f16s at Holloman. Back in Utah, we were very active in rescue, and in our last year we fostered 8 kittens and 9 dogs through two rescues we worked with, emphasizing on Arctic breed dogs. Our last "official" utahan foster was a wolfdog who could open windows and let himself out on the town-- I promise we are experienced in the craziest of pups!
Reviews
Ashley & Cody we’re so great and so welcoming on such short notice, if your furbaby loves to adventure and run out this is the perfect spot! Playmates and land to roam this was the best place for our girls. They are wore out and definitely were well taken care of while they were there! Thank y’all so much for treating them like your own, we will for sure call Ashley and Cody if the girls need a sitter!
Fabulous! Thank you!

Information Cody & Ashley D. would like to know about your pet
We specialize in Arctic breeds but we have no preferences. We do have additional fees for puppies, training requests including housebreaking or kennel training (we practice umbilical cord training as well as other behaviorist encouraged/endorsed practices) as well as medication administration, females in heat or males that are intact, and some other special needs-- so please talk to us about your pet so we can prepare to give them the most comfortable stay away from their parents they've ever had :) As of right now, males who are unaltered over the age of 18months will require a behavioral assessment/questionarre, as well as a non-negotiable add on fee of $10 per night. Unaltered males who exhibit ANY aggressive behaviors or territorial possessiveness will not be allowed in any group play settings or allowed to roam without direct and constant supervision. Unaltered males must be comfortable with both men and women. We require the kennel cough vaccine for our guests, if your dog hasnt received their annuals or didn't receive vaccinations, please talk to us -- we can help give you some resources! We prefer microchipped animals, but if your pet isn't microchipped, we are able to offer this option under certain conditions. Please ask us any questions
A typical day
We have a lot of land to explore and have sectioned fenced areas for play, it is a work in progress as our place had not been touched for 8 years before us! We are enjoying the journey-- but it's definitely not a finished product just yet! We do maintain that Animals are not forced into group play and families are never mixed without permission of owners and behavioral assessment. We are hoping to take three of our fenced yards and create three separate environments-- a yard with agility and endurance play, a yard with lounging and casual play, and a sensory garden including dig puts, a tunnel, and herbs safe for dogs and cats to enjoy sniffing or snacking over :)
