Clayton left a lot to be desired. The good: Our dogs were in good form and he came at the beginning of his stay which was appreciated because our start times were later than our flight which we didn't realize and was our mistake. Both of these were very much appreciated. Below is the not so good. People may not mind these things and while one of these alone may have been disregarded, the sum total is not cool, at least to us. * People (woman and child) we don’t know were in our house per our security system. This was not discussed beforehand. Our dogs are not used to children and we are not a child-proofed home. But more broadly, we do not want strangers in our home without us knowing about it. Some people may not mind this. We do. * Dirt tracked into our basement all over the carpet because dogs were not cleaned when they entered the house. Our yard is dusty but we clean our dogs when they enter our house and have not had a problem with stains in our basement carpet. Our carpet was recently professionally cleaned not that long ago and so this really, really sucks. * Dirty pot and spoon was left on our stove * Urine was left in the toilet * He went into our bedroom and took two of our pillows (two were already in the guest bedroom where he stayed and more were in the closet in the guest room). We consider our bedroom our personal space and keep the door shut. We presume someone stayed the night. * He was difficult to schedule and intro with. Maybe we are nit picky, but our house is our home and it’s a drag to have to clean up after someone at the end of your vacation. All of this and more added up to not a very good experience. People seem to really like Clayton, but it didn’t work out well for us.

Clayton was great. Our dogs were brushed, happy and relaxed when we came home. The house was immaculate. We were hesitant about having a dog sitter, but we're so pleased with the job he did. We'll ask him to help us out again.
