Dogs tend to love me! :)

Pet care experience

[UPDATE: 6\25\2017 - Some of the options on here are confusing, but I am very flexible with either staying overnight to watch your pets, or frequent, scheduled check-ins. Will answer any of your questions! :) ] I come from a family of animals lovers- Patience is my strong point, and I will gladly interact with any pet, and find their good side. Whether its a huge fenced in backyard in the country, or an exploration of the downtown oversized sidewalks, I love getting the chance to run or walk with a dog that could be considered by their Pet Parent(s) as "full of energy." Often I am naturally able to gain the acceptance of the skittish or very protective type of Dog, as well. Its unique to find a dog with an elaborate personality, and I will always respect your Dog (or any pet!) as if they were within my family's household, as well. I will gladly do whatever it takes to make sure your Dog feels loved, cherished, and socialized with while you are away for any amount of time. They, too, are family to us. Thank you! -Clay L

Information Clay L. would like to know about your pet

I've never had an issue with this sort of thing and would like to keep it that way: Please, if you have any special instructions for maintaining a safe, healthy, friendly & enjoyable environment with your Dog, please specify before the assignment any way you can as long as the instructions are clear and understandable. What I mean by that is simply this: If your Dog requires medication that is crucial in any way, tell me about it. If your animal is sensitive to any sort of quick movements or startling movements that are otherwise common to you and I, tell me about it. Lastly, I do not fear larger Dogs. Years ago, I owned a Pit bull and he was the nicest dog on earth. A huge baby lap dog, but definitely protective, also. With that said, I do enjoy the larger, more defensive & protective breed of dogs out there, but if there is something I should know about them that you would normally want a dog-sitter to know about your fur baby, I want to know about it. With certain matters like this, especially in a dog-sitting scenario, communication is key. Peace of mind is very important for all involved :) Otherwise, I don't exactly have a breed preference, and I am also unaffected by anything pertaining to allergies, such as pet dander & things of that sort. As long as your four-legged family member can be half-way reasoned with, we're going to have a good time together and I truly can't wait to meet the both of you!

A typical day

I have no shame in carrying on a conversation with a dog beyond simply "Who's a good boy?" Its fascinating what one can learn from just simple interaction with Man's Best Friend. I know better than to show up to meet a dog that's geared up and ready to play without bringing my A-Game; If your dog wants to run, I'm all for it. If they simply want a walk, that's great, too! If your dog can be trusted with a game of fetch, Game on! I am willing to perform any type of special instructions necessary that the Pet Owner Needs, wants, or wishes to have fulfilled. Currently, I only own a sedan, but as long as we can both fit, then I'll gladly enjoy a day at the park with your dog whilst getting to know my new pet friend. :)
