The fun (and responsible) uncle!

Pet care experience

Animals have always held a special place in my heart; I grew up on a farm with early exposure to everything from horse to hound! At 14 yrs, I started my first business, Knotical Dog, an apparel brand focused on handwoven nautically-inspired dog collars and accessories. Since then I have cared for and trained a multitude of breeds in various sizes and ages. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks;, but after a few sessions with me, your dog will be reading Dostoevsky and calculating high school level trigonometry (or, we can just start with sit/stays..) Whenever friends and family need a helping hand with their pet, I am often called first, as my reliability and experience provides much needed peace of mind knowing their pet will be safe, loved and cared for in their absence. We know our pets miss us when we are away, but that shouldn't mean they need be lonely too!

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet, your rules! I am very responsible with years of applicable experience. I am fully capable of caring for health-impaired, old/young, big or small. Respect and trust are critical. If I am to stay in your home, you would never know I was there. If at my home; you and your pet's established house rules can be enforced. I drive a big Grand Cherokee so there is plenty of room for any travel needs. In sum, you and your pet's comfort are number one; let me know what you need and we will make it happen!

Some preliminary information to get the ball rolling: 1. Standard meal plans or any special dietary needs/restrictions 2. Favorite activities 3. Oddities/triggers- anything that could potentially cause concern. (Even if your dog behaves with you, they sometimes like to test boundaries when mom and dad are away!) 4. Dog friendly? People Friendly? 5. Favorite scratch/massage spots! 6. Whatever else you think I need to know to make sure your pet has the best time possible!

I am lucky to live in beautiful Stowe, VT. My house sits on 5 acres of lawn and forest (unfenced) with a creek running through it. Right down the road is Weisner Woods filled with miles of hiking trails. If your pup likes the water, I have plenty of local watering holes safe for your dog to romp and swim around. Whatever your pet's favorite activity is- whether that be high energy exercise, sprawling out by the fire, aimless car rides, or barking at ghost squirrels out the window, Camp Clay can make it happen!
