Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs my entire childhood, as well as goats, horses, pigs... I'm something of an animal lover. My most recent position in San Diego was as an assistant trainer/assistant manager at a doggie daycare. I am comfortable walking and caring for multiple dogs (of any size) at a time, or spending one-on-one time working on behavioral enrichment and play. I am also somewhat of a wizard when it comes to posing pups for the most adorable photos ;) I will absolutely care for your pet as if they were my own, with all of my love, attention, and enthusiasm.

Claudia was wonderful. She took great care of our pup, Olive. She was also a great communicator keeping me updated on Olive's walks, plenty of pictures and how she was getting spoiled. It is always hard leaving our girl behind, but Claudia made it so much easier knowing that Olive is being well taken care of. I (especially Olive) look forward to working with her again.
Claudia was great! She kept me updated throughout the visit and sent pictures of all activities. I would definitely hire Claudia again!
Claudia saved the day! We had already left on a weekend trip when we heard from a previous Rover sitter that her dog was being aggressive towards our dog and could not be kept separated. We had to turn back and sent a dozen messages trying to find a last-minute replacement. Claudia responded very quickly to my panicked same-day request and took our dog for 4 days so we could still go on the trip. We really lucked out with her! Our dog had a great time, we got lots of pictures and updates. Claudia was always very responsive and great at being in touch. It was obvious she cares about dogs and treats them well. When I picked up our dog, she was already really attached and comfortable with Claudia, which is a great sign! I wouldn't hesitate to board our dog with her again!
Claudia kept me well updated, was flexible on timing and easy to communicate with. Took great care of my pup!

I am great at following instructions regarding meal times, medications, and sleeping arrangements. I'll be sure to maintain a calming atmosphere so that your pup feels comfortable and safe under my care. I have experience walking up to five large dogs at a time, so I am comfortable with any size and temperament (within reason) and have learned tricks for behavior correction and doggie focus from my mentor. I am happy to provide references!

Let me know if your dog requires any special accommodation or if there are any physical limitations to keep in mind. Please let me know how your dog is around other dogs on walks, or in the dog park. Also, let me know about any allergies or diet preferences as I like to bring along a pack of training treats - as a reward for posing for my pictures, and to help with focus on walks :) Boarding / Daycare Questions: - Are they house trained? Any particular phrase preferences? - Do they know commands? - Do they have any favorite toys, treats, or food? - Any medications and schedule for them? - Are they allowed on furniture/ to sleep on the bed? - Any specific personality traits or temperaments I should be aware of? (chew shoes, dislike men, knock over water, etc.) - How are they with other dogs while on a walk or at the dog park? - How are they with outside sounds? - Do they do well in public (stores, cafes)? I like to bring the dogs along if I have to run a quick errand but if this is not ideal, no worries at all!
A typical day
I love to walk in nature, beside the water, or just explore the park or neighborhood for a variety of smells and scenery. I love to match a dog's energy, I'd love to go for a run with a well-trained and high energy pup, or a short walk and some tug-of-war with any lower energy/older dogs.

Availability
I am currently working part-time, and am looking for part-time and occasional gigs to fill up the rest of my schedule. I am extremely flexible, able to work overnights and weekends as needed in addition to regular walks, etc.
