Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Claudia, and together with my husband James we have dog sat over 140 dogs through Rover. We've taken care of all kinds of dogs from tiny toy breeds to giant St. Bernards. We've administered medicine, fed special diets, dealt with separation anxiety and behavioural issues, given many snuggles and pets, visited numerous dog parks, and made every furry friend feel loved in our home. I've taken multiple obedience and behavioural classes, and have done private dog training sessions with our own Jack Russell mix who keeps us on our toes. Our priority with all dogs is both physical and mental exercise – taking dogs on long walks, hikes, playing fetch, teaching tricks, and keeping them stimulated. We can't wait to make you and your dog feel comfortable and cared for! Please note: Between May - October we go on many weekend mountain adventures! Please don’t request a booking if you don’t think your pup will be a good fit for car rides, hikes, etc.
Reviews
Claudia took good care of Henry! I got regular updates, and felt that he was happy and well cared for!
Thank you Claudia for the incredible patience and attention you paid to our senior dog. She was so fortunate to spend the week with you enjoying long daily walks.
Claudia communicated throughout the day, took Rocket to the dog park and was understanding about a mess Rocket made after eating naughty things at the park.
Another great experience with Claudia. She took such great care of our Winnie. We loved getting updates and seeing all the fun things they got up to.

James and I have a large fully fenced yard perfect for short potty breaks or to throw a ball around in. Confederation Park is 5 minutes away, and a large fully fenced dog park is 10 minutes away. We often drive to Shouldice Park or Nose Hill as a treat for a longer stroll.

Information Claudia K. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog: - Friendly with other dogs and people? - Fully potty trained? (No accidents or marking behaviour) - Spayed/neutered? - Able to sleep through the entire night? (No whining/crying) - Okay to be left alone for a few hours? (In case we need to step out for an errand or groceries) - Good off-leash? - A puller on-leash?
A typical day
A typical day starts with a quick potty break in the backyard, followed by a walk around the neighbourhood. At lunch, we either head to the off leash dog park in Mt. Pleasant, take a longer stroll in Confederation Park, or have loads of playtime in our backyard. We finish the day with some mental stimulation like tricks, go find it, or puzzles. While this is what a typical day looks like, variety is the spice of life so we do enjoy going to different dog parks, exploring the city, and going on adventures.

Availability
I permanently and remotely work from home, so your dog won't be home alone for hours on end. While I have a few meetings throughout the day, I usually head to the dog park during my lunch break, and then do a shorter walk or play time in the yard after my work day ends.
