Hi, I have been dog sitting/housesitting for 20 years. I live in a very quiet neighborhood with a yard and a large dog play room when the weather does not permit outside access except for elimination. I regularly take walks with my clients and always integrate my clients with my 2 dogs after they get to know one another so that we all wind up in the living room laying on the couch or dog beds. I am home most of the day so your little sweetie will have lots of attention.

Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I was very young. My parents had a standard poodle when I was born and constantly had dogs throughout my formative years. My mother always had boarders at our home and one of my jobs was to take the boarders on walks and take them outside to pee and poop. I am continuing the tradition.

Since my dogs are medium sized poodles and labradoodles, I prefer to take care of dogs that weigh no more than 50 pounds. Any breed is fine.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I live in a very quiet neighborhood with no through streets, a semi cul-de-sac. I usually take a minimum 1-mile walk with each client daily and more walks if a client is used to eliminating only on walks. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I have a large bedroom and many of my clients like to sleep on their bed next to my bed. I also have nice roomy crates if needed, for example, for a puppy that is not totally potty-trained yet or a dog that prefers their own "cave" for sleeping. Time I'll spend with your dog I am at home all day and like to introduce any boarders into my "pack". Therefore, your sweetie will be lounging in the living room with me and my dogs either on the couch or on the many dog beds. I also take my boarders on daily walks unless specifically asked by pet parents not to. As to actual awake time with your baby, I would say I spend 8-10 hours per day with my boarders.
