I interviewed Claudia in June 22nd so I could go on vacation in August. I love my dogs and needed to be sure they would be taken care of while I was away. I wanted house sitting so my dogs would be comfortable in there own surroundings. I let her know what I wanted.Overnight stays. She agreed and she informed me she did have another job but they worked around her schedule so it would not be a problem.I told her I fed them in the am between 6:30am and 8am and in the evening around 5:30 or 6pm. I gave her detailed instructions and my expectations. She agreed so I booked her and paid. I booked her for 8-6 to 8-10. I would be leaving that Sunday night. On 7-24 she wanted to pick up the key. I was not comfortable giving my key out a whole week in advance. I asked her to meet with me the Friday right before I left. She agreed and I confirmed her starting that Monday. She said yes and that she had the whole week off from her other job to take care of my dogs.That Friday before I left she came by for the key and then informed me that she would not be off that week. Her job wanted her to work from 1 to 7pm in Allen Texas and hour from Roysecity where I live. She said she would be there after work. My dogs would not be eating until after 8pm at night and she said she would be back every morning to feed them and let them out. I was upset. I told her that I booked her for overnight stays and those hours are not what we agreed on. I did not want my dogs being home for over 10 hours before being let out or fed. She said all would be taken care of and then left. I was very upset and it was too late to get another sitter or cancel my reservations. All nonrefundable so I called her because now I was unclear when exactly she would be at my house for how long etc... She said she would make sure they were taken care of but she could refund my money because of her job not letting her off. Well it was too late to find another sitter and I stood to lose over a thousand dollars on my trip if I canceled with her. She said she was mad her job would not let her off. However just the week before she said she was off that week and the week after for Her vacation. Very upset about it all. she gave me her word I believed and booked her. Then it changed because of her other job.Not only that but my flight was delayed coming home tat Friday. i would be getting in later but she could not help me due to her other job so i called my neighbors. When I returned home that Friday my microwave that was used to heat up my dogs food was covered in splattered food. She had not covered the food all week for it to look like that. Why would someone just leave that like that. Then my dogs water bowel was on the counter. I filled it up and placed it on the floor. My dogs were so thirsty that they drank out of it at the same time every bit of it so I filled it up again and they drank half of it. so how long did my dogs go without water that they were so thirsty that they drank almost two bowels full of water that night. She advertised being able to housesit on Rover but it all changed last minute. Had I know this I would had never booked her. I will never use her again. I am sure Rover.com does not know about this but they will.She had an obligation to me.
