Hi there! I love animals and if I could have one of my own I would... but I'm not quite there yet so I'd love to care for yours! I'm super active and love hiking and being outside, and I've been taking care of other people's animals (from cats and dogs to geckos and snakes!) for 10 plus years now. A vegan of 15 years now, I've been an animal lover since a young age, and in high school I volunteered at an urban animal shelter. I have experience with rescue animals who need extra attention and care. You can trust that I'll take care of your pets as if they were your kids - especially since I work with elementary school kiddos when I’m not with your animals! A note about scheduling: I do request that you keep in mind departure/arrival times when booking me, and if you’d like me to arrive earlier than noon or leave in the evening on your return date, please note that in your request so we can schedule accordingly! Clarissa took my puppy out again while I was out of town snowboarding and she took great care of her. She had her run around and play with another pup and got her tired enough to sleep the rest of the afternoon until I got home. Thank you so so much!
Clarissa did great with my puppy! I went snowboarding for the day, and she stopped by to take Maya on a potty break and to spend some energy! I will definitely have her looking after my puppy again! Thank you so so much!

I love knowing what your dog is accustomed to, as in, when he/she likes to go out, how often you go out a day with them, eating schedule, etc. It's great for me to know the house rules for your dog so I can continue to enforce them (ie, no dogs on the furniture), as well as any quirks that only you know about your pet!
A typical day
If your dog likes playing with other dogs I love the Nature Park or Crown Mountain Park! I also love hiking around Carbondale and Basalt, and some of my favorite places to hike with dogs include Mushroom Rock and the Arbaney Kittle trail. If your dog is up for it, I'd love to take him/her to the crag with me! One of my favorite places to climb and bring the doggos is Thompson Creek, right outside of Carbondale -- it's nice and shady and there's a great base area for dogs to nap while I climb!

Availability
I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! On the weekends I enjoy taking your pups out for a hike or to the local crag if they’re well behaved :) . Happy to provide daily exercise and cuddles!
