Vet Student, Experienced

Pet care experience

--- SPECIAL SKILLS --- First aid knowledge, CPR certified, can give medicines in a variety of forms. I have experience working with senior dogs (including incontinence, diapers, deaf/blind, etc.), puppies/kittens, reactive dogs, nervous pets, and pets with separation anxiety. --- HISTORY + ABOUT ME --- In St. Louis, I have been volunteering at the APA animal shelter and clinic for 7+ years now, where I have encountered every possible breed and personality type imaginable. As a pre-veterinary student, I have worked 900+ hours with many veterinarians taking care of a variety of animals, giving me basic first aid knowledge. I have worked with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, birds, and horses. I graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry. I am now a 3rd-year veterinary student at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I plan to be a small animal veterinarian when I graduate, with an interest in internal medicine and surgery. During my time in undergrad, I used Rover quite a bit and have plenty of experience with house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits through this app. Now, I have a 1.5-year-old puppy of my own named Maple and love going on walks with her. I would love to visit and walk your pups as well in between classes! :) **I will never raise my prices because I believe that pet care should be affordable for everyone. There is no extra fee for puppies/kittens.**

Clare is an awesome pet sitter! Very considerate of logistical needs and prompt to respond when plans change. Most importantly, she is clearly invested in your pet and prioritizes its needs first. I could easily go on, but you get the picture.

Clare was an amazing dog sitter - we’ve already rebooked her! We trusted her as soon as we met her and could tell she took caring for our pups seriously. She updated us regularly and even made magnets out of pictures of our pups that our 2-year-old is now obsessed with 😍 highly recommend.

Clare is by far the best dog sitter we have had. Both of our dogs are very old and require a decent amount of attention. One of them is diabetic and requires insulin shots twice a day. Clare always takes extra special with him. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her. Our house is always clean and tidy when we get home. I don’t think our dogs even miss us when she’s here! Will continue to use Clare time and time again!!

Clare took great care of our two Bullies! She arrived and left at the agreed upon times and they were both happy when arrived home. She sent updates and pics which is always something we really like. I’d give give her an A+ on top of the 5 stars!!

Safety, trust & environment

-- HOW DO I CARE FOR YOUR PETS? -- I ask for as many details as possible so I can get to know your pet and your expectations for my visits. I am happy (and encourage) to do meet and greets beforehand. Generally, my walks are 30 minutes long, but if the temperature is generally unsafe (too hot or too cold), I will take the dogs out to potty as long as they can safely be out, then I can play with them indoors for the rest of the time to get some energy out. I will discuss this with you for approval before the visit when temperatures seem concerning. During my 30-minute visits, I can let your pets out to potty, play with them, feed them if instructed, and do anything else you may need. I LOVE to take pictures and give very detailed report cards (with AT LEAST 3 pictures per card) every visit/walk so you know everything that we did together!

Information Clare T. would like to know about your pet

If they don't eat, are there any foods I am allowed to mix into their regular food (meat, cheese, etc.)? Are there any medical concerns I should be aware of?
