Hi! I’m Clara! I’m comfortable with pets of any size. I have ample experience with horses and have no trouble with larger dogs. I've been around canines my whole life and find ease in communicating with and understanding them, and appreciate every opportunity to connect with them. I think we make a great match! I’ve been on Rover since 2018 and immensely enjoyed the animals and people I’ve been able to meet. My work in equine therapy and livestock sanctuary settings gives me an informed perspective on traumatized and special needs animals of all sizes.

Clara was fantastic! Communicated consistently, and dealt with a real curveball of Wally having some additional medical needs while I was away. Will definitely have them take care of Wally again!
Clara was great! They were so patient and kind about the various needs & dynamics for our little critter crew! Clara shared updates and photos and was proactive in asking questions about our most difficult dog to make sure they were best meeting his needs. I highly recommend Clara to others!
Clara was so flexible and accommodating to help me take care of my 4 month old puppy while I was already out of town and needed to find a new sitter. Clara sent lots of pictures, even helped out with a delivery to my place, and I came home to a clean space and happy pup!! So grateful I found Clara to help with my complicated situation and care for my new baby pup!!
Clara was able to sit for us after our other sitter canceled 2 days before Thanksgiving. Great communication and Ollie had a great time

If your furry friend has any special needs or your home has any quirks I might not be able to figure out on my own, please let me know ahead of time! Including but not limited to: allergies, PTSD/trauma, "hot spots" on their body that they do not like to be touched, eclectic habits (chewing on shoes or cords).
A typical day
Your dog/dogs will get an abundant amount of attention, play time, and treats if that's appropriate! I love sharing ambient company as well if they’re not into touch. Regardless, I will offer them attentiveness and care. I will happily share a couch or bed with a dog and cuddle up with them. I go on long walks and walk about three miles a day on any given day, so your pet(s) could join me if they need a longer walk!

Availability
I'm most keen on joining your animals in their routine and caring and walking them from their own home. When I’m with your pets, I’m with them! I don’t typically take on more than one gig at a time because not only does that not work for me, I find it’s stressful for the animals if I’m coming and going too frequently.
