I grew up in small-town Washington state and have been surrounded by animals since I was a youngin'! From a very early age, I was responsible for helping to care for our family pets, which included fish, rabbits, dogs, and poultry. I began riding horses at age 6 and quickly realized I had been bitten by the animal-loving bug. During my undergraduate years, I ran my own animal care and farm sitting business where I was responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of my client's animals; the critters under my care ranged from guinea pigs, cats, and dogs to sheep, llamas, and horses. I am comfortable with a wide variety of animals and am highly perceptive to how changes in mood, behavior, and body language indicate a pet's well-being. With experience as a veterinary assistant for a large animal veterinarian and in a small animal emergency room, I am also familiar with common health issues and am able to take steps necessary to address them if they should occur. Every pet has a unique story that shapes their personality and makes them each so special. I am ready and excited to get to know your furry friend! There is nothing like an enthusiastic bark and wagging tail to make each day a great one!
