Pet care experience
I have many dog friends from Virginia to Mississippi who love me because we run, take pictures, and cuddle during our visits! I have been a horse caretaker since 2013, official pet sitter/dog walker since 2015, worked as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Society of South Mississippi handling cats and dogs with a range of personalities and backgrounds, worked as a dog trainer during the initial wave of Covid, and worked for the Virginia Living Museum before moving back to Charlottesville. Animals are my passion and love and I always pay attention to the details of their care and treat them as if they were my own.

Clara took such good care of my critters! I came home from the rare weekend out of town to find my pup and kitties happy and calm. She clearly gave them the time and attention that they needed while I was away. She was very communicative and highly responsive. I plan to book Clara again for any future needs!
Clara was absolutely fantastic! From the moment she stepped into our home, we could tell our four dogs were in caring and capable hands. Not only did she follow all of our instructions to a tee, but she also went above and beyond to make sure our bullies felt loved and comfortable. We received regular updates and photos, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. Coming back to a well-cared-for home was also such a relief. We highly recommend Clara to anyone in need of a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!
Clara was the perfect dogsitter for my shy, anxious dog. I was away at a conference and Clara stayed overnight with my dog for three days, and I couldn't be happier with the care, patience, and love she showed my dog. I received constant photos and updates while my Josie was in Clara's care, and when my flight home was delayed a full six hours Clara stayed with my dog until I came home. If you have a shy or anxious animal, I can't recommend Clara enough -- she made sure to slowly build a bond with my dog, and made sure not to push Josie into interacting with her before she was ready. An amazing experience, I'll certainly be booking Clara again in the future!
Clara is absolutely amazing. My dog is special needs, and she understands exactly what I need and how to work with my pet. I can tell she has so much experience, and cares a lot about animals! She even puts sweaters on him when it’s cold out :) She sends lots of pictures throughout the day, and she’s so communicative! It brings me such peace of mind, knowing Leo is in good hands!

Availability
I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and love to take your dogs on long walks on trails, hikes, playing ball in big fields, and having cuddle time after we’re tired. I’ve taken dogs swimming, on my runs, dog parks, kayaking, etc and they LOVE it. It’s such a great feeling to see that happy, tired dog face at the end of the day and knowing they had fun!
