Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals since I was a child. I've worked on farms and done extensive volunteer work at animal shelters where I was trusted to administer shots and do a variety of other sensitive tasks. In addition to my professional work with animals, I've also always been the preferred dog caretaker among family friends and acquaintances because of the dedication and love I show for all pets, big or small! I'd be happy to provide references upon request. My partner, myself and our treasured Border Collie/German Shepard mix recently moved from a little town in Northern California to Miami so that my partner could attend nursing school here. My hope is that through dog-walking and dog-sitting I will be able to become more familiar with my neighborhood and the city!

After volunteering at the animal shelter and working with large wild animals at a wildlife refuge near my hometown (tigers and bears oh my!), I'm confident in my ability to handle any kind of dog. That said, I would like to know about any special needs or attributes your dog has, such as: specific allergies, things that make them nervous or aggressive, dietary restrictions (I've worked with diabetic dogs before), and any other things that might be important in ensuring that I can provide a safe and helpful environment for your furry family members.
A typical day
Depending on the owner's wishes, I am happy to help train dogs on walking etiquette or any other training regiment that the owner has put in place. I also love to run and would be happy to take your pooch on a more labor-intensive walk. If running isn't your dog's thing, then we can play with toys, go to the dog park or take a long stroll to tire them out!
