I grew up with mainly bird dogs. I owned at one time a black lab and a border collie and 4 cats. I have taken care my friends' dog Eli since he was a pup. Go to Claire's?? He can't get into the car fast enough to come for a visit.

Claire was great! Stanley came home tired- and he’s not easy to tire out. Love that she has a big yard, spends a lot of time playing fetch, and has a flexible schedule. Will definitely be using her again. Thanks Claire!

Claire is a very responsible and trustworthy animal caretaker. She has watched my dogs for years at a week or more at a time. The dogs are always excited when I bring them to Claire’s. They are extremely happy to see her. She is an animal person and the animals know it. When I return they are very well cared for and it gives me peace of mind to know they are happy and healthy. She even watched my Shepard/Roty mix when he was a young pup and did great with him. She is not intimidated by a large active dog, but instead calmly takes charge. She seems to enjoy them as well. I whole heartedly highly recommend Claire.

I have a large back yard. It is not fenced in and I live near a road, it doesn't seem busy but without a fence, I will not let an animal just run. With that said, any dog I watch needs to be well trained on a leash. If they are couch potatoes, that is somewhat acceptable but I am out in the yard quite a bit.

Moving to a new house, I need a couple of months to settle in but I truly enjoy the company of a dog. At some point, we may get a fence, I do believe dogs need their exercise as well as humans. Watching someone's pet allows me to pamper them a bit as if they were on vacation.
A typical day
Big back yard. There is some wildlife in the rear of my yard. I would prefer watching people oriented dogs vs a good hunting dog. Couch potato dogs are okay.

Right now I am retired and in the process of moving. I probably won't be able to watch your four-legged friend till about September. At some point I hope to get a few steady customers as I believe familiarity is good for your pet, your piece of mind and my home.
