I’m a recent Seattle transplant who really misses having pets in my life! I have had pets for my entire life - cats forever, and I got my first dog when I was fourteen (the Springer spaniel in most of my photos). I have lots of prior experience dogsitting and housesitting and can accommodate whatever specific needs you have in terms of feeding, walking and caring for your dogs. No preference in terms of breed, age or size – I will happily care for any pups (or kittens!) that need someone to look after them! I am also more than happy to take dogs on long walks or runs as needed. I look forward to hearing from you!

I will take my lead entirely from you in terms of what your pet needs! I am used to dealing with animals that are escape artists and fully know the importance of double-checking doors and gates, and I am very conscious when in public spaces or on roads of making sure that I’m aware of any stimuli that might distract your dog or cause a safety issue. I am also familiar with crate training and am happy to use that system if you have it in place, but am also a big snuggler with my own pets and am happy to do the same with yours if that’s their norm!

I like to know a pet’s temperament in advance – I can handle animals that tend to be a handful, but I like to know what I’m getting into! I also prefer to know if a certain pet needs to be looked out for around kids, certain people, or other animals. Finally, it’s imperative for me to know if there’s any danger of your dog either biting a person or chewing up personal possessions, and/or if your pet needs 24/7 care. I am happy to provide the highest level of care possible, but if your pet is not able to be left home alone for at least a few hours at a stretch, I kindly request that you let me know well in advance.
A typical day
I'm a very active person and am happy to exercise your dog to the extent that they want! I am happy to take dogs to parks or further out into other natural areas as well. I also spend dedicated time every day playing with any dog I’m caring for, without any distractions or other responsibilities.

Availability
My schedule at my day job is relatively flexible, so I am able to hang out with your pets for a longer period of time or drop in multiple times a day as needed. However, I do ask that you let me know of your expectations of time spent with your pets at least one week in advance.
