Pet care experience
I've been caring for other people's pets since I was 10, and finally convinced my family to get my own dog a little over a year ago. I have experience with cats, dogs, and even fish. I have handled feeding schedules, playtime, and walks, for anywhere from one to three dog at a time.

Hi! Claire did a great job for us this year taking care of our two dogs. She was up for the challenge of walking and caring for a smaller, older Terrier mix, and our 1 year-old Lab puppy(!). In our situation, she stayed overnight while we were gone. She made sure they had plenty of food, water, attention and love. Our dogs only seemed mildly happy to see us return. I think this means they enjoyed having Claire around, because normally dogs would run to you right away.
When Claire was six years old, she wrote a PowerPoint presentation to try to convince me -- her dad -- that we needed a dog. We didn't get a dog until many years later, but it's a good example of how she's loved dogs basically her entire life. She's grown up to be a an extremely responsible and caring adult who has been repeatedly called upon to pet-sit for family friends; she will take excellent care of your dogs as well.

I personally have a reactive dog and so have experience with the importance of patience when it comes to pets. Getting to know pets and what they like and want is a big priority for me when it comes to pet care.

Knowing what type of activities your dog enjoys, and how best to engage with your pet is important to me. I am able to give oral medicine (I use the treat trick, but if that doesn't work for you please don't hesitate to tell me how you would like me to go about it). I have never given injected medication, but as long as you can provide instructions I am able to follow them.
A typical day
I love going on walks and short runs, as well as really enjoying throwing around a ball or frisbee. I am an active person, and love involving pets in those activities. If there are things yourpet loves to do I am excited to discover them and take part.
