I recently moved to Chicago and am working for Rover in addition to my part time job. I don't have a dog myself yet but I'm a dog lover and someday soon I will! I have been helping take care of my family dogs, labs and a yorkie bichon, my whole life and have had no problem taking care of friends' pets as well. I spent a summer at a dog kennel as a teenager, feeding and cleaning cages of every size and type of dog. I have taken care of old dogs, puppies, dogs in heat, and cleaned up every type of mess. Living next to a highway my whole life, I am very wary of keeping dogs safe in the yard, on a walk, or keeping things from the ground out of their mouth. I also know that just like us dogs have unique personalities and should always be approached mindfully to form a good relationship! I once had a small dachshund growl at me, but only because he wanted me to move my arms and offer my lap to him for cuddles!
