I grew up with training dogs to gun dog level and have a knack about me with animals. I love dogs and cats and firmly believe that nothing that patience and a pocket full of treats can’t fix! I love walking dogs and scritching kitties and feel my energy is something that animals respond to. I don’t raise my voice at them and treat them in a firm but positive manner so behaviour is rewarded correctly, leading to a better pet and human experience. I personally enjoy walking, so walks I do would be minimum 30 minutes and up to two hours, energy levels, weather and animal dependant, of course. However, through some frustrating experiences of owners not being truthful, I will no longer accept dogs who pull on leads when walking - I can offer paid training for this separately, but it is not enjoyable for me to look after a poorly lead trained dog as they simply cannot be exercised correctly. I’m confident that I would be a good fit for a dog/family who have trained their dog to behave respectfully around others. I realise that my profile may seem strict, but I am strict with dogs and the owners must respect that I have boundaries, I am not a dog crèche for bad behaviour; please use a kennel if these are issues that are known to you as it isn’t a nice experience as a sitter.
