Pet care experience
I am a recent college graduate currently working from home and always looking for more furry friends to hang out with. I have been on Rover for five years now, and have had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with dozens of wonderful pets.

I have only great things to say about Claire and how she took such wonderful care of our pets - a dog and a cat. It was obvious from the time we met her how much she loves dogs and cats. She was a responsible caregiver and spent a lot of time playing with our dog, walking her and calming her during the occasional thunderstorm. Anything we asked of her was done completely, and often above and beyond expectations. Susan S.
Claire took care of my 4 month old puppy for a week. She made sure he was exercised enough each day and gave him plenty of love. She was attentive to the dog and made sure he was well taken care of.

In previous situations when I have stayed in client’s homes, I do my best to get an understanding of boundaries within the home before my stay begins. When animals have stayed with me in the past I typically get a feel for what is standard in their own home (where pets sleep, play, etc) and mirror what they are used to.

Before sitting or walking a dog, I ask the owner of the pet has any allergies or any behaviors/symptoms to keep an eye out for. Also, what are the parent’s methods of rewarding good behavior, and adversely how to handle poor behavior. Lastly, exactly what services are they asking me to provide.
A typical day
I love taking dogs to local parks, my most visited would be Mt Tabor on a sunny day. I have also taken pups through Tryon Creek State Park if we are in that area. On rainy days you can count on any indoor games the dogs are fans of!
