Pet care experience
I have owned dogs my whole life and have taken care of them personally for 19 years now. I currently own one rescue pup named Maple who is a spunky sweetheart. I've been very close with dogs since I was a child.... "Puppy" was my first spoken word! I have experience dealing with most breeds, shapes, sizes and personalities of dogs, and I've been known to make every dog I meet like me! Although dogs are fun, I know they can be a challenge as well, and I am prepared to deal with most of them. I've cared for dogs with special needs (seizures, food allergies, potty training issues, etc.) and have experience handling rowdiness and stubbornness as well. To me, taking care of your dog is a pleasure, not a task! Rates, preferences and schedule can be flexible depending on the situation.

Claire is great with our dog and he loves having her come. She even has stayed longer than needed to run with him, or just give extra belly rubs! Very informative "rover card" updates that also make me laugh (dogs are silly). We will continue to use her. Highly recommended.

I have experience dealing with most breeds of dogs, but the ones I have owned or have most familiarity with with are dachshunds, Labrador retrievers, chihuahuas, corgis, shelties, collies, golden retrievers, Portuguese water dogs, cavalier King Charles spaniels, Yorkies, bull dogs, pit bulls, pugs, shih tzus, border collies, Huskies, German shepherds, and malteses. However, I have no specific preferences, and I am open to meeting and learning about all types of dogs! Before meeting your dog, I would like to know a little bit about his/her personality and energy level (active, friendly, timid, etc.), any special needs that he/she may have, as well as another significant challenges I may face when taking care of him/her so that I can be prepared for them.
A typical day
We have an in fenced yard that I can take your dog on a leashed walk through. There is a nearby grassy area that Maple enjoys as well. I don't mind running with your dog if he/she needs extra exercise as well.
